About AVGMNTD Systems

AVGMNTD or "Augmented": "An original concept that has been enhanced, scaled up, or improved."

AVGMNTD Systems was created to build audio hardware differently.

Not as disconnected pieces. Not as rushed products. Not as generic designs with a logo on the front.

AVGMNTD is built around the idea that tone, quality, technology, and physical design all need to work together. The circuit matters. The control system matters. The enclosure matters. The feel under the hand matters. The way a product is built, tested, assembled, and experienced matters.

That is the foundation of the company.

AVGMNTD Systems brings together four connected branches:

- AVGMNTD Audio
- AVGMNTD Engineering
- AVGMNTD Works
- AVGMNTD Control

Each branch serves a different part of the same larger goal: creating audio hardware and development services that feel intentional, refined, and built beyond the expected standard.

AVGMNTD Audio is focused on original products and platforms.

AVGMNTD Engineering supports circuit design, PCB layout, firmware, control integration, testing, and product development.

AVGMNTD Works handles the physical side of hardware: enclosures, marking, fabrication, prototyping, and production support.

AVGMNTD Control is focused on switching, routing, MIDI, utility systems, and integrated control platforms.

Together, they form a complete approach to modern audio hardware development.

Analog. Digital. Controlled.

Built for tone, quality, technology, and control.

AVGMNTD Systems is a founder led audio hardware platform built around a simple belief: great products should sound right, feel right, and be built with intention from the inside out.

From circuit design and PCB layout to enclosures, control systems, and finished hardware, AVGMNTD brings engineering, fabrication, and musical instinct together into one connected development process.

Founder led. Hands on. Built by obsession.

AVGMNTD Systems is founded and led by an engineer, musician, and builder driven by a lifelong pursuit of better tone, better quality, and better technology.

Every product and service is shaped by the same standard: understand the system, respect the details, and build something that feels unmatched in both design and execution.

This is not just about making gear look premium. It is about building hardware that earns that feeling through the circuit, the enclosure, the control experience, the testing process, and the final result.

AVGMNTD exists for the details most people overlook — because those details are usually what make the difference.

THE STORY BEHIND  AVGMNTD

AVGMNTD Systems was not built from a marketing plan. It was built from years of music, engineering, obsession, and the need to understand how great hardware is actually made.

My name is William Andrew Pappadopoulos IV "Drew" and this is my story.

I grew up in a musical family. My grandparents were professional musicians, and that influence carried through my dad and his siblings. My dad was my first real inspiration for guitar. When I was 12, he bought me my first guitar and amp: a Squier Stratocaster and a small Peavey amp.

At the time, guitar had to share space with another part of my life. I was also a competitive wrestler and eventually became a state champion. But when I turned 18, I decided I wanted to take guitar seriously. I started practicing at least two hours a day, and that discipline still exists today.

Around that same time, I knew I wanted to build something with my life. I was drawn toward mechanical work, custom cars, and anything that required hands on problem solving... but music kept pulling me back. Two years later, my dad introduced me to Robert Keeley, and that changed everything.

Founder working a Keeley Electronics

At 20, I started at Keeley Electronics. I immediately dove into learning how pedals and audio circuits actually worked. My first prototypes included a buffer splitter and a Fuzz Face design I worked on with Robert Keeley. That experience lit the fuse. I knew I wanted to learn everything I could about engineering, design, and building products at the highest level.

From there, I went to school for Electrical Engineering, then Software, and now Computer Engineering. Along the way, I continued working at Keeley and kept pushing deeper into analog circuit design, digital control, hybrid systems, embedded software, and DSP.

One of my first major hybrid designs was the mini Dream DSP platform I developed with Robert Keeley. That project introduced me to programming, writing embedded software for microcontrollers, and eventually working with DSP. It became a major turning point in how I thought about audio hardware not just as circuits, but as complete systems.

A lot of what I learned came from relentless self study and hands on work, but I was also fortunate to have guidance from Robert Keeley and Craighton Hale, the head engineer at Keeley. Their advice and direction helped shape the way I approached designing, while school filled in the gaps and gave me the engineering foundation to keep pushing the limits further.

Eventually, I became a Junior Engineer at Keeley and started doing contract engineering work, designing products for other companies and helping set them up for manufacturing including PCBs, enclosures, and sometimes complete builds from start to finish.

AVGMNTD Systems is the result of that path.

It is built from music, competition, engineering, fabrication, and the belief that products should be made with intent. Tone matters. Quality matters. Technology matters. The details matter.

I do not want to build or offer average services. I want AVGMNTD to represent the kind of work that feels different the moment someone hears it, uses it, opens it, or holds it in their hands.

Where it leads now

AVGMNTD Systems brings that full path together: the musician’s ear, the engineer’s process, the builder’s attention to detail, and the competitor’s refusal to settle.

The goal is to create products and services that are not just technically correct, but deeply considered from the circuit and control system to the enclosure, manufacturing process, and final feel.

That is the standard behind AVGMNTD.
